We pride ourselves on serving as an extensive area information center. Our staff is extremely knowledgeable on hikes in the area as well as trail conditions,  local activities, and events. We are always dreaming up new ideas for backpacking trips in and outside the park.

Our top 5 hikes in the area:

• East Inlet / Adams Falls – A must! Beautiful falls 1/4 mile in and amazing scenic meadows just above the falls.
• Colorado River Trail – 6 miles roundtrip to what remains of the ghost town of Lulu City.
• Specimen Mountain – A short, steep hike ending with spectacular views of The Crater, a bighorn sheep sanctuary closed to hikers.
• Tonahutu Loop (Overnight) – Popular 25 mile loop that takes you through some of the best scenery Rocky has to offer and over the Continental Divide
• Milner Pass trailhead to Mount Ida (Strenuous) – Just across from Specimen Mountain this 4.5 mile hike to the summit affords panoramic views of the Never Summers and much of Grand County
